I was recently sent a link by Alvin Soh, Master Teacher of the Diana Cooper School in Singapore and creator of the sacred Light Language Mandala Oracle. Naturally, I couldn’t resist picking a card.

I received the Unicorn card, which carried the message:

Believe in miracles. Magic unfolds when your heart is pure.

I immediately felt uplifted, and my thoughts turned to my fiction novel, The Girin. I had recently completed the 124,500-word manuscript after years of writing. It is a story filled with mystery, adventure and magic, and I am now searching for the right publisher.

My novel is quite unique, and publishers often specialise in particular genres or niches. Yet, as soon as I picked this card, I was reminded to trust that the perfect publisher is already waiting. At the same time, I received several creative ideas claircognizantly about who to approach next.

You may be wondering… what is a Girin? A Girin is the Korean equivalent of the Chinese Qilin—a sacred, mythical creature that combines the grace of a unicorn with the majesty of a dragon.
